I'm the former senior writer for The North Star and co-host of its latest podcast, "America the Voiceless." You can find my work in several publications, including Newsweek, MTV News, GlobalPost, IHS Jane’s Defence Weekly and the Long Island Post. I also curate Pero Make It Newsy, a weekly newsletter aimed at women, with fellow journalist Maria Elena Perez.
During non-journalism hours, I'm an avid world traveler with 28 passport stamps from around the Americas, Asia, Australia and Europe. If I'm not traveling, you can find me reading as many books as I can get my hands on.
Education
In 2012, I graduated from Boston University with a degree in Print Journalism and a minor in Women's Studies.
Employment
I previously worked as the senior writer for The North Star, where I covered politics, social justice, criminal justice reform and immigration. While at TNS, I co-hosted a news commentary podcast about voter suppression called "America the Voiceless" with my colleague and friend, Maria Elena Perez.
